Update on the remianing St George Cooks
Hello everyone,
I haven't posted on here in quite some time, so I figured it would be nice to let you all know how we are doing down here in Sunny St George.
It's starting to get cold finally. I think it drops below 60 degrees occasionally so we are all pulling out our winter coats and moon boots (lol).
Kirby and I are doing wonderfully. She is still going to school - this is her last year, she graduates with a Bachelor in Computer Science in the spring, and we are very excited for that. She is also still playing in the school bands and percussion ensembles and loving it.
After I graduated, I took a job doing web development for a company called Money Mastery for Life, and worked for them for 3 months, then got a substantial pay increase by moving to another job, working as a Jr Programmer to a man named Trent Stehli. I worked for him for 2 months before he decided to shut his programming business down and I am now working on my own as an independent contractor. I don't have an official business yet, because it doesn't make financial sense to set one up this late in the year, but starting next year Kirby and I will be 50/50 partner owners in a new company. The name we are currently concidering is "Kaptcha Computing: Kaptcha your online potential" or something like that. So if you guys know anyone in the market for contract programming or consulting, let me know.
Other than that, life is going well. I got released as ward choir director and got called as Elder's Quorum President. Kirby is still playing piano for sacrament meeting and relief society. We recently had our 1 year anniversary of being married (the cake tasted awful after 1 year). And we are planning on coming up and visiting during the thanksgiving holiday.
Hope all you are doing well as well,
Josh and Kirby Cook

Hey all-
The Cook family is moving up to our new house in West Jordan this Saturday, Aug 1st. The address is:
3728 W. Kingsley Ct. West Jordan Ut 84084
We are going to be packing the truck on Friday, and if all goes well leaving early Saturday morning. We should be getting in to West Jordan in the early afternoon, we're shooting for 2:00. So we're asking for any helping hands we can get to come help us unload!
The house is beautiful and we are excited to be near family again! We'll see you all very soon! :)

Erica and Eric have set the date!
Eric and I have decided to marry on November 17th, 2009.
We will be tying the knot at the Mon Bel Ami Chapel in Las Vegas, NV at 6:00 p.m.
Invitations will be sent out to everyone so be sure to give me your mailing addresses.
You can email me at erica.shumway@gmail.com, call me at (520)220-6275, or write to me on Facebook.
Eric and I are doing well. We just moved from our apartment into a 2-bed, 2-bath manufactured home in the country. It so cute! We live on 40 acres (owned by our landlord) and have no neighbors for miles to the east of us.
I will post some pics soon.
Love you all,
Erica

Erica's Idaho Christmas 2008

Bubba is getting so big! It was so fun to spend time with him and Melanie, as well as the Havens family this last Christmas! It is just so amazing to see my little nephew growing and learning...he is such a smart little guy...and very independant. He loves to stand at the sink with the water running and brush his teeth. He looks at himself in the mirror and giggles. He did this for at least 20 minutes or so one day while up in Idaho. It was soooo cute!

Erica Still Lives!
Wow, sorry its taken so long for me to get anything on here, but I just barely got the internet in my apartment. Yay!! No more waiting for a computer at the library!!
I'm doing well down here in Sierra Vista, Arizona. I am currently living in a cute, but tiny apartment with my soon-to-be hubby Eric Waltz. He and I are madly in love and to answer your question, no...we have not set a date yet, but it will most likely be within the year. He's extremely talented with anything mechanical, such as repairing printers, faxes, and copy machines. He's got an excellent musical ear and is an experienced DJ (he DJed at Bogey's in Cleafield, UT back in 2000). We are both currently working at Pizza Hut. I make the pizzas and he delivers them :) Its actually pretty fun and he makes really good money in tips alone. He was working at a printer repair shop when we first moved here, but they couldn't give him enough work, so that's when he started the Pizza Hut job. He is now working on building up clientelle for his own printing repair business.
We just bought a new truck that we are excited about! I've never owned a truck before.
It's a 2005 GMC Canyon and we took it up in the moutains and did a little off-roading. That's where the pics were taken.
Anyway, I love you all and I will try and keep everybody up to date.
Love,
Erica
