Happy New Year to the Best Family !
What do you know! The first blog we tried worked. Betsy, Hope you don't mind us sharing your photos. The pose to the right------is the best! Matt and Betsy have just fed their local army of missionaries and Matt is feeling the joy of charity. You can tell by the subtle look of satisfaction on his face. Matt's family went to a nursing home and gave the folks a Christmas program to spread a little holiday joy to the shut-ins. Betsy, you'll have to join the blog and tell the family all about it.
Grandpa and I have recently enjoyed a wonderful visit with our one and only great-grand child, a happy and cheerful little sweet baby boy named Eric Anthony Davis. His mother, Melanie, (Suzanne's daughter) flew in with him from her new Army post in Augusta, Georgia. They arrived in time to spend Christmas in Chester, Idaho with the Havens family while Alma, Grandpa and I were enjoying warmer weather in St. George with Julie & Jim and family. On the 24th, Grandpa and Alma hiked the trail in Zion's Canyon while Grandma sat in the Lodge and enjoyed the sun coming through the windows. That evening, Julie fixed the traditional delicious three-soups and hot breads Christmas Eve dinner and we loved the spiritual nativity remembrance celebration. However, the "Jim-donkey" told "Julie-Mary" that she couldn't sit on him during the trip to Bethlehem. Wah.
